Porto Rotondo sits 13 kilometres north of Olbia between the gulfs of Cugnana and Marinella. It is quieter and more intimate than Porto Cervo, with a marina set within a natural amphitheatre of granite hills and pine forest. The town was built in the late 1960s and has a more understated character: still upscale, but with less of the concentrated international jet-set energy of Costa Smeralda.

Several of the finest beaches in the area are easier to reach by tender than on foot. Sassi, Punta Volpe, Marinella, and Ira are among the most popular. The Spiaggia delle Alghe, with its rocky seabed, is a particular draw for snorkellers and divers. Your crew can position the yacht off the beach of your choice each morning based on wind and conditions.

Yes. Its position between Olbia and the Costa Smeralda makes it a practical hub for day cruises in either direction. La Maddalena archipelago is within comfortable reach to the north. Porto Cervo is a short sail along the coast, and the open water between the two marinas has some of the best anchorages in northern Sardinia.

Porto Rotondo has a concentrated and lively evening scene centred on its piazzetta and the surrounding waterfront. Several well-regarded restaurants and clubs are within easy walking distance of the marina quay. For guests arriving by tender from a nearby anchorage, the town is accessible and compact enough to cover on foot.

Yes, particularly at the Spiaggia delle Alghe, where the rocky seabed creates good conditions for underwater exploration. The broader northern Sardinia coast is known for clear, clean water, and several dive sites in the area are accessible from a charter base in Porto Rotondo without a long passage.
