The Palm Beach International Boat Show 2017
The 32nd Palm Beach International Boat Show is set to return to downtown West Palm Beach, Florida, from 23rd-26th March 2017. It is one of the top five nautical events in the USA and this year’s event will be even bigger, featuring more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts, boats and marine accessories. It’s one of the best places to find exclusive new luxury yachts for charter. Next week’s show is drawing headlines because several new exhibitors from Europe’s leading shipyards such as Amels, Heesen and Feadship will attend for the first time.
Unlike many famous international boat shows, the Palm Beach Boat Show is open to the public, who will be able to watch demonstrations and try out some of the items on display. The exhibitors will be showcasing everything from inflatables and fishing boats to the finest superyachts in the world. Visitors will find tents full of the latest electronics and accessories, seminars and fishing clinics for kids. There will be plenty to do and see for the whole family with live music and food areas across the event sites. Not least, the show’s famous floating cocktail barges which feature local musicians entertaining the crowds. The AquaZone, a huge fan favourite, will also return. The 15,000-gallon freshwater pool features live kayaking, stand-up paddleboards and other water toy demonstrations.
Palm Beach is the ideal venue for a uniquely prestigious event of this kind. The waterfront city attracts an affluent and discerning selection of the yachting fraternity, many of whom are seriously looking for new yachts and accessories. In fact, the Palm Beach Boat Show is notable for the amount of transactions and charter bookings that take place over four days.
A satellite location has been added at Rybovich Marina to accommodate superyachts larger than 200 feet. One of the biggest yachts to look out for is the mighty 230 ft MARTHA ANN, a magnificent vessel that has the amenities of a five-star hotel, including a huge gym, big pool and cinema theatre. Other head-turning vessels include Trinity Yachts’ 191 ft SKYFALL and Feadship’s award-winning custom superyacht MADSUMMER. There is sure to be plenty of inspiration for those interested in finding the perfect Caribbean yacht charter.
The show takes place on Flagler Drive, spanning the waterfront from Lakeview Avenue to Third Street. There are numerous parking locations for guests as well as docking options for visitors arriving by water. Since last year, organisers have arranged a valet parking service to the show’s northern entrance, offering guests easy access to some of the largest yachts on display. The show hosts a dedicated, invitation-only VIP area. VIP guests will have access to the AIM Hospitality Pavilion, a private area located at the centre of the show. VIP passes are not for sale or transferable and are provided at the discretion of Show Management.
A key feature of the show is the MyBoatShow app. The FREE MyBoatShow app is ideal for visitors who need help navigating the show and it finds whatever yacht they are searching for by size range, manufacturer and type. It also helps visitors to find food, restrooms and vendors of yachting, sailing and marine products including their booth locations.
