Saint Florent: The fort and the gulf

Saint Florent

Saint Florent, also known as Corsica’s Saint-Tropez, is a gem set in an enchanting gulf west of Cap Corse, in the northern part of Corsica. This beloved yachting destination is renowned for its lively nightlife.

The old town is Saint Florent’s finest district. Its delightful small squares lined with plants and oleanders are worth a visit, especially at sunset, when a light breeze mitigates the summer heat. This picture-perfect fishing village, enopen by hills that slope down to the clear sea, is an exclusive yachting destination.

The major tourist spot of Saint Florent’s old town is the Genoese Citadel. Sprinkled with limestone houses, it boasts the Mortella watchtower and other remains dating back to the Genoese occupation, as well as the Nebbio Cathedral with its decorated façade. To have a taste of the local high life stop for an aperitif at Bara Vin in place Doria or spend the night dancing at La Vista club.

West of Saint Florent runs the Beach Road, connecting several swimming spots. Roya is a 2-kilometer strip of sand lined with scrubland and vegetation with lots of available activities, including diving and trekking.

Some beaches are accessible only by boat, like Saleccia and Lodo. The Agrites desert that surrounds Saint Florent features gorgeous beaches that visitors can easily access on a charter yacht to enjoy hours of absolute relax.

Make time for a stop at Saint Florent if you are visiting Corsica and the French Riviera on your luxury charter.
