Step on board the magnificent M/Y INDIAN EMPRESS and prepare to be amazed by her majestic beauty.
INDIAN EMPRESS certainly stands out from the crowd, boasting a chic interior decorated in a rich tapestry of colours and designs, chosen by former owner, Indian entrepreneur and Formula 1 team chief, Vijay Mallya.
This spectacular 95-metre yacht – which was finished by Oceanco in the Netherlands after having her hull assembled in Durban, South Africa – offers the last word in comfort and state of the art design, while also masterfully reflecting aspects of the vessel’s history through hints towards the Indian culture.
From fine monogrammed linen to unique art works and objects from Mallya’s own private collection, including Elton John’s baby grand piano, every last detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a stylish, yet personal, environment in which guests can relax and enjoy complete serenity.
Launched in 2000 as M/Y AL MIRQAB and originally owned by the Qatari royal family, the spacious INDIAN EMPRESS accommodates 12 guests and is served by a crew of 30.
The luxurious vessel underwent an impressive refit last year and now boasts an elevator, helipad, gym, massage suite, beauty salon and a fully functional medical centre.
Take time out in the lavish splendour of an on-deck jacuzzi before heading to the elegant bridge deck, which is tastefully furnished in vibrant reds and yellows, where up to 500 guests can enjoy cocktails and canapés in a setting of unparalleled beauty.
The impressive dining room comfortably accommodates 24 guests around one large table, providing an intimate entertaining area for family, friends or important clients.
INDIAN EMPRESS, which is self-sufficient for extended voyages, offers a spacious, versatile and sophisticated master apartment. Spanning one entire deck, it comprises a lounge, full-beam master bedroom, additional double and twin bedrooms and privately accessed steam room and sauna.
Boasting high-tech audio and visual systems, satellite television, satcom and cellular communications facilities, VSAT, Fleet 77 and Wi-Fi, there is technology enough to rival most yachts.
Thrill seekers can take off on the 4.2m Zodiac 25hp or try out the two custom two-person wave runners for size. There are also four Yamaha 170hp two-person wave runners, as well as wakeboards, water skis, banana donuts, kayaks, fishing tackle and diving equipment.
INDIAN EMPRESS is available to charter in the Western Mediterranean.
