Les Voiles d’Antibes

Les Voiles d’Antibes

Imagine a light breeze, the intense smell of wet wood lapped by waves and beautiful vessels racing toward the finish line: this is Les Voiles d’Antibes.

Crowds of luxury yacht enthusiasts enjoy the spectacle from rows neatly aligned along the race. This event attracts water sports fanatics, amateurs, and stakeholders. Les Voiles d’Antibes is the opening event of the racing season of Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge Circuit.

The race has been taking place since 1996 in the first week of June and is one of the biggest events of modern and vintage luxury sailing.

Regarded by many as the most important event in the Mediterranean sailing calendar, it certainly is one of the most spectacular ones, as it features many legendary vessels of bygone days and yachting icons.

This is like an animated history of classic sailing for the enthusiast, with teams taking charge of boats that, through time, have changed their performance style, but not the original essence of the game.

Each year, five to fifteen new boats join the race, showcasing improvements and renovations, while a huge crowd watches the event aboard luxury yachts.

The magic of the event continues ashore with the events and cocktails parties held at Village des Voiles and Port Vauban, where attendees share their passion and exchange opinion on the boats to the sound of music coming from sea-themed concerts.

The best way to enjoy this regatta featuring legends of the history of world sailing is onboard a luxury boat chartered with Silver Star Yachting.
